Campus Recreation at SOU
There’s a lot more to college than just going to class and hitting the books. Campus Recreation at Southern Oregon University provides spaces and programs for students, faculty, and staff members to connect with community and experience peak wellness.
For the 11th consecutive year, the Outdoor Program will host the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival in-person at Southern Oregon University. The Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival is one of the most prestigious mountain festivals in the world. Each year, the festival tours to over 280 locations all over the world showcasing the best in adventure film, culture, and community.

The SRC is the hub of Campus Recreation at SOU. This brand new, 50,000 square foot facility features a variety of workout spaces and top-of-the-line exercise equipment. From the fitness floor to the climbing wall, you’ll find your perfect place to break out of your comfort zone and reach your goals.
Campus Recreation offers two types of organized recreational sports: Intramurals and Sport Clubs. Gather a group of friends and form an intramural team, or join a Sport Club and develop your leadership and team-building skills. Sport Clubs and Intramurals are open to all skill levels.
Embark on a new adventure with the SOU Outdoor Program. Learn to rock climb at the Climbing Center or explore Oregon on a student-led adventure trip. Plus, students and community members can rent all the high-quality outdoor gear you need to get outside on your own time.
Campus Recreation is dedicated to creating a culture of wellness at SOU. We offer a variety of programs and services including fitness classes, a relaxation room, and a wellness blog, to help our members engage with the different dimensions of wellness and connect with their peers.
