The exciting world of Esports (competitive video-gaming) is here at SOU. Join an Esports team to take your skills to competitions with other universities, or play on your own in the new state-of-the-art lab in the Student Recreation Center. In addition to participating in extracurricular Esports, earn a Minor in Esports Management and prepare for a career in the growing industry.
Space to Play
The SOU Esports Hub is located in the Student Recreation Center. The Hub has thirteen stations outfitted with all the best equipment, including computers, gaming chairs, keyboards, controllers, headsets, and more. Along with providing practice and competition space for the competitive Esports teams, the Hub is open for all students to play on their own, with access included in their membership to the SRC.

Esports Academics
Make Esports part of your career path with classes and a new academic minor in Esports Management. Esports is a fast-paced professional industry growing in popularity. Students in the program will learn about the business side of Esports, including marketing, event management, and ethical practices.
